Today, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are announcing their first European tour in nearly two years, playing their biggest shows on the continent to date including London’s O2 Arena and AccorHotels Arena in Paris. The 31-date tour follows an intimate run of historic US theatres in January and February. Click here for full list of dates.
The duo are partnering with Plus 1 so that a euro from every ticket purchased on their tour will go to support Partners in Health, Equal Justice Initiative, Youth Speaks and the 30/30 Project. They are committed to using their platform and resources to advance issues of equity and justice and are partnering with organizations dedicated to these same values.
“Downtown” continues to climb the Billboard and radio charts on the rise to quickly become the duo’s 3rd Top 5 hit. The song, which features Eric Nally and Hip Hop pioneers Grandmaster Caz, Kool Moe Dee and Melle Mel, has been performed on the VMA’s and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and the video has been viewed over 45 million times on YouTube. It was certified GOLD with over 500,000 in sales in the US, selling over 1 million tracks worldwide.
“Downtown” is the first single from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’s follow up to their multiple GRAMMY Award winning, platinum selling debut album ‘The Heist.’ Album cut, “Growing Up (Sloane’s Song)” featuring Ed Sheeran was released in August.
